Punta Chivato

Posted by on June 1, 2010

Punta Chivato is about 10 km north of Mulege, then 10km east on a wide dirt road. You pass 5 star resorts, mega homes and an airstrip prior to getting to the public beach. custodia cover huawei Most of the homes have individual hangers and can taxi from the runway to their houses. custodia iphone cover Once again, we had the beach all to ourselves. I went with Susan, a Baja 1000 wanna be. Her Tacoma handled the dirt road with ease, only drifting once :) I want to take the Willys back and explore some more. samsung hoesje The beach is a series of small coves with great snorkeling along some rocky cliffs, white sand, clear, warm water. custodia iphone David has set up camp there and has been there since August. custodia cover iphone It is about $5/night or $90/month long term. Nothing like having miles of secluded beach for less than one hundred dollars. custodia samsung There is a store and a restaurant with in a mile or 2. The dogs had a great time and never got tired! Due to Mousse eating too many dates, we had a short stay on the playa, but I will go back soon! I’ve been making plans and refining my casa for the long term stay in Mulege. I will be posting more often and on a regular basis, now that things are getting back to normal.

    Hi Richard
I have been reading your blog from the beginning and have really enjoyed it, we made our first driving trip down the Baja three winters ago and have been back each year since, the last two years we stopped off in Pta Chivato for a couple of weeks each trip, loved the area, If you get there again take a look at the Estuary at the south end of the beach, a very beautiful remote area,

It sounds like you are planning on staying in Mulege for a while? keep up the good work on the blog.

    regards Mike
